me in the piazza

I'm a writer, publishing both as SJ Rozan and, with Carlos Dews, as Sam Cabot. (I'm Sam, he's Cabot.) Here you can find links to my almost-daily blog posts, including the Saturday haiku I've been doing for years. BUT the blog itself has moved to my website. If you go on over there you can subscribe and you'll never miss a post. (Miss a post! A scary thought!) Also, I'll be teaching a writing workshop in Italy this summer -- come join us!

Gettin' down to biz-nez

How weird is it that a politician can inspire me to schlep a fax machine twelve blocks to the Housing Works thrift shop? I'm still feeling, as Keith said, like I'm ready to put on the white hat and saddle up. I don't need the fax, someone else does, AIDS research can use the money, let's just DO it. Found the manual, packed the thing up, it was heavy but damn, it's good for the arm muscles, so there I went.

It turned out to be the third fax machine donated today.
