hydrangeas
magnolias dogwood hibiscus azaleas My trip this time was marked by the early and constant bloom of azaleas. Its an elusive name that took me 10 minutes researching online to remember - though it would immediately come back to me if I was driving in a car in the fl pan handle. Entire yards decked out in hot pink - with possible some soft red for accent. Fragrent Decedent Indulgent Brilliant Overdone Well-Timed Self-Consuming The azalea sums up a lot of what I think of that part of the usa. I don't hate the south, but I do feel like a visitor there - traveling on the good grace of my hosts. I don't feel the same affinity as I do for this silly burgh.
