2005-01-12 8:24 PM Dear Denver, Knock it off Mood: Happy to be off the road Read/Post Comments (1) |
Today we got snow. Not just a dusting but a couple of inches between 7 and 10 am. Now, I can understand if my driveway isn't plowed. I can even forgive that the secondary road I take down to littleton is not plowed for rush hour. I'll just take the highway, because surely the highway will be plowed ...
Sure. It took me 2 hours to get to work this morninng. The highway was as bad if not worse than the secondary roads. I saw NO plow trucks what so ever. I had to drive my car threw snow in someplaces. So Denver, wth is up with your snow plowing? Let's visit the FAQ. Denver classifies routes as "A", "B", or "S"; "A" routes are top priority routes like Broadway, Colorado Blvd., Colfax Ave., and Federal Blvd.; "B" routes are second priority routes including collector roadways; and "S" routes include streets around schools. There are 1,850 lane miles of "A", "B", and "S" routes in Denver. Um, i was on these roads this morning, they were full of SNOW. :/ /rant> *sigh* Other than the slowness of the morning, we have been doing ok getting back into the swing of things after the holidays. If you haven't already, go take a look at netflix. They just released two new features: queue splitting and friend recommendations. It is SOOOOO great. Guru and I have been wanting to split our queue for 2 or 3 years now. And I'd much rather get reccomendations from people I know. If you are netflix, drop me a line. Love to see what you're watching. Ok, off to rescue the laundry. Read/Post Comments (1) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
