No, none today, and none in sight for several more days.

That stuff yesterday was just a teaser.

Today was full-blown hot.

But I was in a nice air-conditioned building rearranging papers and stuff. I was able to help one of the staff find material I'd worked on about a month ago. Its box hadn't made it back into heavens knows where. Because of the lawsuits about Newcomb and Tulane I've been calling Crystal's attention to anything related to the controversy. She's going to be doing a presentation about the situation at the National Women's Studies meeting in Seattle later this summer. Needless to say, the last few days have made her anxious for the climate break Seattle will offer.

When I got home I found that my L.L.Bean tee shirts had arrived. Two of the colors are on backorder, but today brought me three new shirts. In colors I don't already have.

I need to write myself a big note that says GAS!! so I don't forget to swing through the Shell on the way in. Aside from the neighborhood, I'm not particularly anxious to buy gas in New Orleans where there was five feet of flood water. Anyway, I think there's only one station open on the "going home" side of the street before getting on the interstate.

My body is suggesting a brief "sinking spell." Maybe I'll yield to that urge.
