Reading is a fantastic way to procrastinate on things like weeds and cat hair and dust. And when the book in question is "work" related--there is just no argument against that. That was my morning.
This morning I also called in refills on three prescriptions. I've managed, over the months, to get three "regular" meds all on the same refill cycles. It saves me a lot of time stopping by the drugstore. I punched in 1430 as the pickup time. (The whole reorder process can be done with a push-button phone.) I lunched at PJ's today--they have really tasty sandwiches. And then I read. I finished one book and took along another to start. I had picked up my mail as I left the house, and there was another book! So, I had two books to preview. About 4 PM I headed home, stopping at the drugstore (right next door) to pick up my order. One of them wouldn't be ready for another hour. Bad word thoughts. So, since I probably wouldn't remember if I put the pickup off till tomorrow on the way home from work, I had supper at Arby's. And then picked up the stuff. I got home about 15 minutes ahead of thunder and showers. As I came in I saw Fabian headed under a chair where there's a good place to hide. He does NOT like thunder. It's still raining, and thundering a little. It's cooling things off nicely. Rack up another IUD. (Oh yeah--and I dozed off for about 30 minutes in that big comfy chair at PJ's. I am not the first person to do this.) Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
