The "different" thing about this morning was the visit to the "Imaging Center." It was rather handy, because I got both the mammogram and the dexa-scan (for bone density) at the same place, and off the same appointment. And they were quite efficient time-wise.
(Incidentally, Medicare pays for annual mammograms, but only biennial Pap smears. Go figure.) Finishing up there got me to Arby's before the noon rush and I had a nice, leisurely lunch. And now we're getting into the IU part of the day. After Arby's I headed for PJ's. I'm reading this rather intense book--Corrupts Absolutely, by Alexa Hunt, and I was into the "who will get there first" part of the novel. I ended up reading for most of the afternoon--through two large cups of coffee. I'm not done yet, but I think I'll be able to finish it before I go to bed. And then I shall go hunting for her next book--Homeland Security, which has the same lead characters. (I just checked and it's not in paperback yet, and the used prices are too high. Guess I'll have to be patient.) So today has gone by with no significant household accomplishments. So what. A day spent reading is not an unproductive day.
