Yes, it's the end of my (normal) three day work week. Next week I'll work all four days (Monday is a holiday) because the librarian will be out of town. She showed me how to check books out and in so if anybody needs that done I can do it. And by coming in all four days the library will be kept sort-of open. The phone, however, needs to be on auto-transfer to upstairs. (I work waaay in the back and probably couldn't get to the phone before the caller gave up.)

No rain today, at least where I was at any given time. If it rains tomorrow I may keep at the interior tidying and maybe even vacuum! If it doesn't I'll try to work outside.

I didn't hear any critter noises last night. Of course, I slept very well so I would probably have missed little noises.

Both the drive in, as well as the drive home, were uneventful. That's the way I like it. As I left this morning the traffic person was saying something about a slowdown near the base of the high rise, but whatever it was had disappeared without any traces by the time I got there.

One of the "interesting" things about post-K New Orleans is the large number of portolets that are in neutral grounds. Of classy areas.

I'm assuming they're there because so much roadwork needs doing.

But it is rather disconcerting to have mansions (that sell for aout a hlaf million and up) on either side of the road (although not all have been rehabbed) and portolets in the neutral ground.

That's post-K New Normal, at least for the time being.
