I have finished grading the exams from Friday! Results were not too bad. I do not "curve" but I need to remind students that the grading scale is 10 points--A is 90 - 100, B is 80 - 89.4, etc. And that the next time I say "answer on this sheet" any answer elsewhere will not get credit.

I usually make the first exam a short one, so they get an idea of how I test. But not this chaotic year. So, I shall treat it as the equivalent of a 50-pointer weight-wise.

And tomorrow I start talking about ancient India. I pulled my notes from the bag that evacuated with me two years ago. The only thing I took (aside from daily essentials) when I left was the complete set of lectures and notes for the first half history course. My history professor friend from Mobile found that absolutely logical.

Tomorrow will be a short work day for me--I need to get back home by mid-afternoon at the latest so I can get ready to go to the football game. I do hope the Saints break their losing streak.

My toenails are almost long enough that I could perch on a tree branch and curl my toes around the branch. I think I'd better get home before noon so I can get my claws clipped. (I am now totally hooked on pedicures.)

Not much else going on today--just the grading. I guess it rates as an IUD.
