Getting There

Little by little, the Big Day is approaching. YD is hosting family-only (hers) Xmas tomorrow. Xmas day itself will be for the huge part of the family--the part that includes (for her) five step-kids, two step-kids-in-law, and five grandkids.

So, after the Saints managed to lose to Philly I took myself out to WalMart for some last-minute stuff for tomorrow. The store wasn't too crowded and people were in generally nice moods.

Traffic was, of course, heavy, but I managed to find a parking spot reasonably close to the store. Going home was slow, but not as bad as last Friday afternoon.

Last night I heard some ice chest noises, looked out, and there were three raccoons helping themselves to dog biscuits.

The weather today had just enough chill in it that I decided that yard work could wait. And that a nap made a lot of sense. (Since I'm currently on meds for a UTI a nap needs no justification.) I'm going to have to get used to more "free" time this semester, unless Xavier calls me at the last minute again. I shall probably try to convince myself that that will happen, and therefore I must really get at the yard work.

And thus another incredibly unremarkable day heads for a close.
