Today's quote from my Wild Words from Wild Women calendar:
"No, doctor, I don't want to grow young again. I just want to keep on growing old." (Madame de Rothschild, aging aristocrat) Although, as usual, I had a long to-do list, today was a fairly relaxed (and relaxing) day. It's really nice to have a tomorrow for weekend stuff. I did, however, get some tidying done, in spite of feline needs. Fabian insisted on being up close and friendly for a lot of the day. After lunch it resulted in my going to sleep. The rest of the time he has simply kept my left leg quite warm as he uses it for a backrest. However, I still have plenty on my list for tomorrow. If the weather remains nice, I want to get some more weeding done. I've got a big bag of old flower seeds--bought with great intentions--that never got planted. I've got an area picked out where I plan to mix them and spread them and hope some come up. If it works really well there will be a big bed of flowers. If not, I'll have to think of something else. Just as long as I can get rid of the majority of the dewberries!! My interest in the Academy Awards this evening is below absolute zero. The last movie I saw was the third episode of Lord of the Rings. Luckily, there alternatives which can be done in conjunction with reading/crosswword puzzles/cross sums puzzles. I suspect I won't be staying up late. Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
