The other day YD invited me to see their new house (it's gorgeous!) and have brunch.

It was just the two of us--Anna and her daddy went to a somewhat more appropriate place--the one with a clown named Ronald. But YD took me to the country club in their subdivision. It was excellent and delightful.

I really like their house. The last one was brand new, and had little green growth around it.

This one is older and lived in, and is designed for very comfortable and convenient living. There are a lot of established plants and trees around it. I like it.

We chatted and stuff. A nice Sunday.

Later this afternoon I realized that I needed to get power steering fluid, cranberry juice, and a couple of other things. Where else? Walgreen's. (I didn't locate any power steering fluid at WalMart the other day, and it was too busy to try to find someone to ask. Next time I'm there it will probably jump off the shelf at me.)

Tomorrow I'll stop at the mechanic and see if I can set up a time for him to repair the PS leak. He's got a sign saying "Coming Soon" and then a new name. Drat.

On the way home this afternoon I realized that I should probably make a pit stop to undrink that second cup of coffee. I pulled in by Barnes and Noble. I'm proud to say that I managed to pay less than $30 for the use of their "facility."

I got three very different books: a Carl Hiaasen "mystery/adventure" (he writes some funny stuff), Arthur C. Clarke's 2061 - Odyssey Three--which I may have read but don't quite remember, and Coroner's Journal - Stalking Death in Louisiana by Louis Cataldie, M.D.

I'm pretty well set for the upcoming season of TV reruns--which now last more than half a year.

Since I'm staying home tomorrow, I don't have to get up to an alarm clock. Yippee!
