Drop-dead gorgeous weather today--no hint of rain, humidity low, temperature down a bit . . . Fantastic sleeping weather, and I didn't wake up till almost 9 AM.
However, once up and breakfasted, I managed to resist the urge to do outdoor stuff, mostly because outdoors is soggy as all get out. Continued trying to tidy a bit indoors, then spent part of the afternoon with a cup of coffee, a giant chocolate chip cookie, and a geek book. While I was reading that book I put my secondary brain to work considering another geekish project. (I'm great at thinking about projects, but not on carrying through.) Tomorrow it will be dry enough to work outdoors. And probably still cool enough. A town/city west of here had a railroad spillage, and the town was ordered evacuated, including pets, for 48 hours. I live just two miles from the railroad tracks, and I can tell you that some nasty stuff is carried by the freight trains that go through in the middle of the night. The Hornets play tomorrow evening. Tickets are completely sold out, of course. Talk about home field advantage--let's hope it works for them. This evening I'll be back to reading Seven for a Secret while I watch mindless TV. Read/Post Comments (2) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
