This morning I managed to get to church. To do that I had to do the shopping before Sunday. For quite a while I shopped on the way home, but after the hip incident I found it so much easier to get around with one of the electric carts that shopping at essentially a peak time (post church) was out.

Yesterday I got out early and did the shopping.

Today I relaxed a while, went online, and then headed out.

It was so nice--people seemed really glad to see me.

This was a week with no minister and the sevice was quite good.

Afterwards there was assorted socialization. A couple of high school friends of YD were there and thrilled to hear about her book. And then I got involved in a conversation with someone else about early sf writers.

Eventually I made it home, read the paper, and let myself have a "sinking spell." (aka nap)

I need to get to bed at a decent hour this evening--tomorrow it's back to work.

Today was a good change of pace.
