Today consisted of little stuff.

It was raining this morning off and on (but mostly on) so I passed on church.

Once I'd made that decision it promptly stopped raining, and didn't start up again till about an hour ago.

I got a fair amount of weeding done on the "far" side yard. I also added the weeks' papers to the turtle pond. Several of the turtles looked up to see who was disturbing their habitat. It won't be all that long until I see the next generation paddling around.

My efforts at pulling the weeds, rather than just mowing them down, is showing progress. By the time it gets too hot to think about weeding I should have a significant part of that yard weed-free. The dewberries are blooming, and that makes it very easy to spot them and pull them out.

When I'd reached my limit on the yard work I headed for Arby's for supper. I was the only customer there. It was starting to rain when I left, and it still is, a bit. I don't plan on going in to work tomorrow--there's a fairly good chance of rain. If that's the case, I should be able to get some indoor chores done.

I spotted Spot again on the porch. He was bathing himself as he sat on a low table. He was at the "cello-playing" stage.

And it's time now to put out the possum kibble and raccoon biscuits.
