I slept a bit later than I had planned, but still made it to church just fine. One of our quarter-time ministers was there, as well as lots of friends.

And, as usual, I ended up chatting and visiting post-church for almost an hour.

As I headed home I remembered that I needed a) gas and b) groceries--mostly cat food.

When I finally got home I ended up having an extended sinking spell. When I woke up I decided it was too warm and too late to do more weeding etc. I plan on going in to work tomorrow, so I'll need to get to bed at a decent hour.

Cats have been fed but I need to put out the possum and raccoon food. (I have till dark to get that done.)

Last fall I ended up passing along a pair of Saints tickets to someone from church. They had thanked me profusely at the time (they included parking in the Dome garage) but today she once again let me know how much they had appreciated those tickets. Needless to say, they will be near the top of my list for when I want to watch the game from home again. (The upcoming season is sold out, so home games will be telecast locally.)

I made the mistake of looking at my calendar and discovered that I have appointments on two days--one of which involves going into New Orleans. Hope next weekend is good weather, so I can plug away at yard-tidying.
