The rain really knocked the temperature down and I had a marvelous night's sleep.

It warmed up again during the day, but not as warm as the past few. Anyway, I was using OPAC and didn't notice except for when I went out to my car.

I think I've passed the halfway point in processing this collection. I figure probably three or four more workdays. Once I get the rough draft of the inventory done I can take care of that at home.

In other words, finish it off before vacation.

Hardly anyone was around the office today. There was a secretary-type person and I saw the director at one point. The archivist was there--in fact she came in right after me at 7 AM. She didn't stay long--she lives nearby and this is part of her morning walk. When she returned she spent most of the day downstairs.

The librarian didn't come in till about lunch, and then the two of them worked together.

Oh yeah--and a woman from housekeeping came by.

I got myself a yummy calcium (and calorie) loaded frosted shake at Wendy's. That makes the drive home so much pleasanter. I usually finish it up just as I get off the Hwy. 11 bridge and onto St. Tammany parish land.

If the weather's halfway decent (like not boiling) I may keep at the yard work tomorrow. Then I'll appreciate the cool air even more on Thursday. (And I should call the fire department to see if the burn ban is still on.)

CC must have been in the bushes in the front yard because she preceded me up the driveway. And Stripe must have been near also. He was waiting on the porch for me to put down his supper. And he only bared his teeth today--no hiss. He's obviously had a bad experience with humans.

And now it's time to see if the world is still turning and what the weather wizards say about tomorrow.
