(That's the name of one of the "drop in" clinics in town, and it's associated with a hospital.)
A bump on the top of my head had begun bothering me--not hurting, but I was definitely aware of its presence. I debated waiting till Monday, but then I figured I'd be lucky to get an appointment. So I headed for Urgent Care. About an hour later I left, with a bandage on the top of my head. The doctor said I had an abcess, so he opened it and drained it. Try bandaging the top of the head--it's being held in place with gauze that goes under the chin. About two hours later I left with prescriptions and told to see my regular doctor Wednesday. At the moment the local is wearing off. My prescriptions will be ready in about an hour, so I don't want to take any of the "good stuff" I have around till after I've driven to the drugstore and back. Definitely a different way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Other than that, not much going on. It was raining off and on most of the day, so (of course) there was no yard work. Instead, the cats wanted extra petting. I had sort of planned a WalMart trip, but the rain put that one on the back burner, so to speak. I was favorably impressed by the Urgent Care facility and its staff. They were courteous, knowledgable, and efficient. Thanks to the rain clouds etc. the sky is a lovely purplish-pink-gray. Nice sunset to make up for the rain, I guess. Read/Post Comments (7) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
