For the better part of the day RAIN was the byword.

Not heavy rain, but on again, off again. Judging by the weather maps, not to mention the TV meteorologists, things will probably continue that way for a bit.

At one point, I was trying to retrieve the TV remote, which had slipped down behind and under the couch. By the time I was finished I had pretty much cleaned out (and rearranged) under the couch AND under the chair. But then I found I was missing a shoe.

Back to the hunt. I found two pairs of scissors, miscellaneous little stuff, a herd of dust bunnies, and my original cell phone. I finally found the shoe underneath and behind something.

Changing the bandage on the top of my head turned out to be relatively easy, and I didn't have to call my neighbor. I have to put goop on it twice a day, and I'm glad I can handle it myself. (I also have to put some of the goop up my nose, so it can be absorbed close to the wound site.) And I have some kind of antibiotic to take daily. The discomfort has about disappeared--partly courtesy of those "super" Tylenol.

About 9 AM tomorrow I start calling my doctor to get a Wednesday appointment for follow-up.

I haven't seen the masked critters today, but then it was raining. I put out dry food after I fed the cats. We'll see if they come by for supper.

Definitely an IUD.
