The young raccoons came by again, but this time I was outside on the patio reading, and Mama spotted me in time to keep her babies from running close to me. I went inside quickly, and I am pretty sure that Mama didn't waste too much time before bringing her kids all the way to the front porch and the food I'd "spilled.".

Today was a hot one--we were a bit too far west to get cooled off by the rainstorm that was excessively generous to the areas east of us.

I have a friend in Mobile (which got hit by a lot of rain) and tomorrow I'll try to get hold of her.

I see a scrap of paper by the computer that says "Mon--make appt with dr."

Too late to do that today.

Come to think of it, I don't think I brought the paper and/or mail to the house today.

Must check on that.
