I was in Vegas for CL and PS's joint bachelorette/bachelor party this weekend. The turn out was very disappointing. I was the only girl who made the trip. DC, who came with me, and 2 other guys were all who showed up for PS. I mean, I guess I scoffed a bit at the thought of how much money I'm spending for this wedding and all that goes along with it. But it's Vegas!

Since this is a blog about Minneapolis, I will keep my Vegas story short. It can be summed up with a few pictures:

We stayed at the Imperial Palace home to the Dealertainers! That's right. Entertaining dealers. Or dealers who entertain, I suppose. They all dressed like famous musicians and lip synched/ performed on a little elevated stage in the middle of the tables throughout the night. The Imperial Palace has a new name in my book: "Ghetto Palace". Seriously. This is a junky hotel. I mean, that's ok because it was cheap (my main goal) and centrally located, and really how much time do you spend in your room anyway? There was a line to use the 4 elevators all day long. They painted the trim in our hallway Friday night. (Really, who paints a hotel on a FRIDAY NIGHT?) And our room had a lovely view/soundtrack of... the bus drop-off loop and someone else's balcony.

The infamous Ghostbar at the Palms.

I'll admit. It was pretty cool. I wanted so badly to see a celebrity. Even a C-lister would have been ok. Britney Spears was supposedly there that night, but I didn't see her. :(

This is me standing 55 stories above... nothing.

That small piece of glass is all that's stopping me from plummeting to the ground below. It's hard to tell from the dirty glass, but you can see all the way to the main hotel entrance below. It took some pep talks from DC and CL before slowing inching my way to the middle.

Dollar margaritas at Casino Royale.

All day. Everyday. This sums up the rest of the trip. Cheap drinks and slots. All day. All weekend long. I won $100 on nickel slots in Mandalay Bay! Owww! I also played blackjack at the Excalibur. I made $15 there. I would have made a lot more, but some lady sat next to me and threw my winning streak off.

Also, I'd like to take this opportunity to pass on the torch that my brother passed to me. Go to Bellagio. Play penny slots or whatever and order a strawberry daiquiri. They are phenomenal! And free! Oww!

The 18 hour happy hour at O'Shea's Casino.

Vegas. Gotta love it.
