Reading today: Continuing "Good in Bed"
Music today: Nyet. TV today: "Tiny Planets" on Noggin ----------------------------------- We had a very good Memorial weekend. On Saturday we made the trek to Alma for the annual Scottish Festival and Highland Games. We met my parents up there. Roman wasn't so good watching the bagpipers during the massed ceremony, but they did fascinate him when he saw them individually. There were also Highland cattle that we could get close to, and he enjoyed watching one eat. He did really well for his first "day trip." We learned a couple valuable lessons, too - give him time to roam, and plan your meals and time much better! He got real grumpy on the ride home, tired of sitting I would imagine! On Sunday we got a lot done around the house. I washed the front of the house, the siding was filthy (I don't think we'd ever done it!). Lots of cobwebs too, but now they're gone! Did some trimming and weeding. Doug mowed the lawn and cleaned out our shed, which really needed it. We actually know what's in there now! I planned out our pots and what annuals we need to buy. Monday was a day for Doug. I took care of Roman and let Doug sleep in; he has been getting up with Roman every morning for the past 3 weeks. Then he spent the day cleaning his workroom in the basement. everything had been covered with sawdust, paint cans everywhere, and everything else was a jumbled mess. That's all done now, too! Today, Roman and I are going to the zoo for the first time. We were given a membership by a couple family members but haven't taken advantage of it yet because of the rain. So we're going to try it today! Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
