Roman is 23 months as of yesterday. Rapidly approaching the 2s, and we've seen evidence of it. This last week has been a little rough. Partially because of schedule change I think, as we're now back on part-time daycare. But he's been clingy when I drop him off at daycare, and they report for the last 3 days he's begun crying around 3:30 and saying "Mama come... Mama come....".

At home, he's not listening. He's hearing, but not listening. We had to talk on Tuesday that when Mama says no, it means that he has to stop what he's doing. We're still struggling with that. And it's just little stuff... handling things, dropping things, pulling on things.... driving me NUTS.

He's sleeping pretty well again, thank goodness. He's taking 1-2 hour naps depending on what's going on. He sleeps until between 7-7:30 most mornings, today was 8!

This eating thing is crazy. He doesn't want to sit for meals anymore - too busy! And then when he is hungry and tells us, he doesn't want anything but sweets. "Cookie? Jelly? Ice cream? Cake?" So we've got to cut him of all sweets for awhile. We struggled to get half a piece of balogna down his throat last night for dinner. And 2 bites of pretzel, I think.

I am fast wrapping up World War II and heading into GANDHI WEEK next week. I love that. Lots of video, discussion, little to no homework for grading. Looking forward to having evenings again (6 weeks!) to scrap or just relax!
