Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on. Thanks to Netta for the comment last Thursday, and Shen for last Friday. I believe that these things are brought to my attention so that I can do something about them, even if it is just to pray. And now to the subject of today's post title: six days ago I mentioned once more about how much I don't like going to the cinema anymore, especially when they ask you to pay almost two hundred pesos just for arm rests that can be raised on airline type seats. Well, an incident last week just solidified it into a new stand. I was going to watch "National Treasure: Book of Secrets". I went up to the ticket booth with five hundred pesos. The girl behind the counter said she didn't have any change, and started to explain that even the other cashiers didn't have change. I didn't wait for the end of her explanation. I took my money, turned my back and walked away. No outbursts, that's not me. Quiet indignation, maybe. But if they didn't want my business, I can oblige. So I won't be watching movies in the theaters anymore. It is, after all, just socialization, even if we do just have to watch something because everyone else is talking about it. Original movie discs are now almost 40 percent cheaper than movie tickets. And again, since socialization allows for lending it out to friends or watching together at anyone's home theater system, more people can enjoy that one disc without having to pay additional. To cement this, I went out and bought two movies, which I'll talk about in detail in the student accessible edition tomorrow. Session 1975 won't be drawn into the dark anymore. Class dismissed.
