2008-09-02 5:32 PM A/P: A Gigantic Under the Administrative Table Letdown Student "edition" found at {csi dot journalspace dot com}.
Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on. Apparently, the meeting today that I have been looking forward to since last week is cancelled. I had to hear it from the director of our school, not from the secretary, who until this morning told me that the brother president was not in campus (and his secretary was on leave) but that he will be here at 1pm, the time of our meeting, which made me believe it was on. And to think that yesterday the secretary of the office of student activities had scheduled a meeting at the same time to discuss the second disciplinary case we have in processing. What's somewhat funny is that she had sent me a text message about the meeting saying it was SDB, which for her is short for student discipline board, but which I thought meant school directors' board. So I didn't think it was conflicting, until we met to go to the wake yesterday. And she's going again today since they found a priest who isn't so strict as not to want to have a mass for a suicide, unlike the others. Because we talked before I had known the other meeting is cancelled, then she said she wouldn't confirm the discipline board anymore. Wouldn't you know though, after finding out that it's cancelled, who do I meet at the basement on their way back to their offices as I'm going for a late lunch? The college secretary and the secretary of the human resources office (also part of the discipline board) and they both asked me if the meeting with the HR head is pushing through today. I had to say no, citing now the mass for the student who passed away as the reason. Add to that the fact that Mr. Most Important Research also wanted to have a meeting with the president tomorrow, and called me twice to confirm it. At least now it's pushed to Thursday, and I don't know when the directors' meeting will be. Session 2341 is somewhat surprised miscommunications and missed communications can still happen in this day and age. Class dismissed. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
