Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on.

Our new discipline officer, who wants to be called instead the coordinator in charge of the welfare of the students, is all about wanting words he can stand behind again.

It's him who gives the students the power to resist when he feels he needs the new student handbook to back him up instead of reminding them what they're doing is wrong.

I've met him already three times in the past few weeks in the most unexpected places, and every time he's been "I need this black and white authorization to do my job properly."

Is he just covering his own ass? Has he been burned in the past of being questioned on a given task?

And now he wants me to sit in again on his outstanding teacher committee from last year because he keeps saying he's not yet "legal", which is an exaggeration, of course.

Maybe he just wants a piece of paper to rub into the others' faces as to what he can do.

@@ The outgoing president of the parents of college students association is so proud of the fact that he has a legacy of their budget for two terms from last year to bequeath to the new president of the student council for their activities. This is after rejecting their ask for financial assistance on their first activity (the acquaintance party) because he still stuck by his old rules that led his estrangement with the former student council and with at least two of his board members who are old officers.

And now he tells the other administrators of the school (such as the registrar's and the controller) that it's the student who manipulated the two former officers. Wow.

Talk about being in a world of denial where one young person who hurt his ego as much as his was becomes an all-scheming bad guy just to prove to the world that he is not wrong.

I'm just counting the days until he's out of here, along with the people who he's fooled.

Somehow I don't think it's a coincidence that all of them are going to become ineligible for the new board because their children are not enrolled here anymore, for one reason or another. Call it a symptom of bad parenting or whatever spilling into other aspects of their life.

Session 2703 knows they higher you climb, the more assholes you meet who don't deserve to be there. Class dismissed.
