Mood: So Do Topics Read/Post Comments (0) |
2009-10-15 1:00 AM Mood Crosses Over Student "edition" found at {thoughts dot com slash typed no space out no space loud slash blog}.
Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on. Since I am writing this after the student accessible version, I seem to have some leftover speculative streak from the topic and general attitude that I was (am?) in from there. Maybe heroes have a death wish. They are so sick of this world and are so looking forward to the rewards of the next life that they are willing to hasten their arrival there by any means possible short of by their own hand and in any method less than epic. Or maybe they don't believe in a heaven, but they just want to get out of this miserable existence as soon as possible but while leaving something people will remember them by. At least they are willing to get up and do something, unlike the others who just want to lie down and die. These people are tired of everything that they are willing to expire by inaction, not even wanting to eat. I cannot believe that I even had a reference to the six degrees website, to which I cannot find a trace of outside of Wikipedia. I did not even know Kevin Bacon made a dot-org equivalent. @@ Chat got me following Twitter again. So besides the daily pages that I write, I also toss out 140 characters worth of reactions when I see something worth reacting to. And somehow, there have been a lot (in my estimation) the past few days, besides birthday greetings. I thought I was alone in suffering how easily tabs become separate windows in non-conventional browsers out there. I did not know that anyone else would pick up on my reference to the new TV show Glee, but someone did. Curiously though, the song that did it for me, put the show on my instant recall, was a song by Journey from the first episode that when I looked up the lyrics, did not have much inspirational content besides the chorus that says to keep believing and holding on to that feeling. Otherwise, there are references to everyone just wanting a thrill and young people just trying to escape the humdrum of their lives with casual hook ups and how the movie of their life does not have a happy ending, but goes on and on and on and on. At least that is what I picked up from it. Surely there are better anthems out there for hope. But then again, the reason I got to like it in the show is because it is part of my eighties childhood memories. I guess that is part of the reason they use existing songs from all decades to fit into the storylines instead of making new ones audience cannot relate to immediately. Session 2833 realizes it turned out rambling. Class dismissed. Read/Post Comments (0) Previous Entry :: Next Entry Back to Top |
