Maybe I shouldn't have started this blog now, not with everything that's been going on. This is crazy. You have all these games and movies and even TV series telling us about how history repeats itself. But when it happens in real life, there are no hard and fast rules. Sometimes even when you try to act differently from the last time, the same results still occur. It is enough to make you want to believe in fate, and karma just meaning that you have to be in the same situation a set number of times regardless of what you may have already learned or how you try to change the way you act. You think you are prepared for it, you think you know the right sequence in which things are going to happen, but you do not. Life has its own rules, and no matter what happens, no matter how you try to prevent it, you end up losing. You try to make sense of it, you try to find out why it went down the way it did, but not knowing is part of the frustration. @@ Another Hollywood staple is when only one guy sees the evil that the others do not. The guy ends up looking crazy because of how frustrated he is that the others cannot comprehend what sees, but in the end he turns out to be right, although by that time it is too late, evil has won. Of course in real life it is not as apocalyptic as the end of the world (now there is a redundancy) but you end up feeling pretty bad about yourself and the people you work with, not knowing if you should have done it differently or if you can still look the ones who let you down in the eye. Yes, it is enough to want to leave, even if it means they will think you have given up and not fought for the right. Is that really much better than to be taken off the job for what they perceive to be incompetence? Still, it looks like one of those rare situations wherein no matter what you choose, you lose. @@ There is a part of you that hopes there will be a surprise plot twist in your favor, just like in those formula films. And it is that glimmer of hope that keeps you rooted to the spot, stagnant, unable to move forward. So is it really such a good thing? Maybe it is not the way it seems, and it was all just a massive freaking coincidence or it is simply the others not knowing how to react properly to what you did, but it may not be all that bad. Sure. Occam and his razor beg to differ. It could be as simple as it really seems, regardless of the protests. @@ This is why there are those who become scriptwriters because life is to freaking messed up they have to have somewhere where they can come up with a happy ending, even if it is just fiction. They need somewhere where they are in control, and just like this blog, it is just in typing out words. And if it is fantastic enough, there are others who will buy into the illusion and you net millions from the deal. Now THAT is making money off your misery, getting some gain from the pain and does not involve chains. Session 2945 would really like for someone to just ask what the matter instead of running around asking all these people for help. Class dismissed.
